Recently, she took to her Instagram to share a quick and easy method she uses to achieve a beautiful glueless weave.
The video quickly gained popularity on the platform gathering over half a million views and likes over a short period of time. Many viewers expressed their love for the style, praising the creator for having such talent to come up with the style idea, with comments like “Effortless😍 You make it look so easy!” and “My eyes can’t believe what it just witnessed!😍 MAD TALENTED” flooding the comment section.
This article will walk you through the process of how the creator achieved the look while also breaking down the whole process into simple and comprehensive steps. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!
Start by taking the wrap paper and covering your natural hair with it from top to bottom. Next, take your wig cap and cover your head, tightly securing the wrap paper. Remember to let the wig cap slightly pass the border of your hair so you can shape it as desired. After that, apply the hair shield gel on your wig cap and use the applicator brush to spread it onto the whole of your head, leaving out a section at the right/left for a side part. Use the blow dryer over it to make it dry faster.
When the hair shield is completely dry, take a scissor to shape your edges, while also cutting out the wig cap and wrapping paper in the area that wasn’t covered with the hair shield. When you have everything shaped down, take a closure with hair and use it to cover the part of the wig cap that was just cut out. Sew the sides of the closure together with the wig cap to hold it in place.
Take your hairspray and use it around the edges of the closure then tie it down with a band for extra hold. Now, take your weave-on extensions and proceed to glue it on to the part of your head that’s covered with the wig cap. Glue it all round till you’ve covered your whole head of hair.
Create your side part on the closure and trim the extensions to your desired length. Use a hot comb to straighten and flatten out the sections around your side part, then use a curling iron to add extra style to your hair. Fluff it up a bit and you’re ready to go! The creator shared that doing her quick weave this way made the takedown process a lot easier while also saving her hair from potential damage that could be caused by the glue used in other methods.
“I did the “glue-less” method this time where you use wrap papers before the cap because I only wore this for one day. Doing my quick weave this way made it so much easier to takedown because nothing touched my hair and I was able to remove everything at once. I prefer not to use the wrap papers when I want to wear my quick weaves longer. I need some new hairstyle ideas, any suggestions?“–Pjwest.
