“Bridgerton” season 3 finale is upon us, dearest readers. And it means that Regency-era fashion is back in full force! For those of you not yet familiar with the whole period drama craze – Regency aesthetics is all about flowy dresses, opera-length gloves, and elaborate coiffures adorned with flowers and tiaras. And while the gowns and gloves are in the past, Regency-inspired hair glam is a timeless trend we now see in Netflix’s sizzling TV show.
Our favorite “Bridgerton” ladies are the best guides to the world of nifty ‘dos that will definitely leave every hair fan swooning. Here are three hair tutorials with the most iconic styles from “Bridgerton” season 3 you can try at home!
Penelope Featherington has recently gone from the girl next door to the girl to die for. In the new season, our beloved redhead ditched her tight curls swept up in a messy pile, opting for romantic waves instead. We’ve already mentioned how Penelope’s glow-up in Bridgerton season three brought a modern touch to the classy ‘dos. So now it’s time to break down her most iconic hair look.
The character’s signature hairstyle in season 3 is a Hollywood wave swept all over to one side paired with pin curls blended to her locks. To recreate the look, start curling your hair with a favorite heat styling tool while pinning each curl up and letting it set. Brush your curled locks to create soft waves and add a flower clip to one side. Curl your baby hairs for a face-framing look and get ready to receive invites for the evening soirée!
Francesca Bridgerton is a true diamond of the season, as she brightens up every gathering with her presence. Just like her older sister, Daphne, Francesca enters her debutante season with alluring half updos that emphasize her youthfulness and delicate features.
For this fabulous hairstyle, section off your front tendrils first and then separate the top from the bottom section. Gather the top of your hair into a half ponytail and create a small looped bun. Then, wrap your ponytail around the bun for a fuller look.
The next step is to make a rope braid out of your bottom section and place it over the shoulder. Finish off the look by brushing your front pieces back for a sleek look and adding a hair clip at the top to imitate a tiara. Done! You’re ready to steal the show!
Even though Eloise Bridgerton, aka Miss know-all, is off the marriage mart for now, her creative hairstyles are still in the spotlight. Take, for instance, her hair glam in the hot air balloon scene. She’s sporting an elegant side braid with a floral hair piece to match her sage green gown.
Here is a variation of this ‘do that works perfectly for short lengths. Start off by taking a front piece of hair and twisting it towards your head. Grab some more hair as you go, moving to the opposite side of the head. Once you gathered all of your hair in a twisted hairstyle, secure the ends with an elastic or a small claw clip. And there you have it – a Regencycore ‘do with a modern flair!
While we’re holding our breath and counting the days until Polin’s betrothal party (and THAT mirror scene), try out these Regency-themed hairstyles and join the fan club!
