7. Ravishing Orangey Red Hair

Red hair is not one-color-fits-all. There are various shades and directions you can go. For example, try on an orangey red hair style you see on this picture, which is created in ombre technique. It starts bold and ends in a washed, almost-white shade. The key to this is making sure the color transition is well-blended.

There are many ways to ensure you’re maximizing your red ombre hair. Going the straight and narrow route demonstrates every detail in the color transition (especially when it’s done right). Wearing it loose and curly can add dimension and make the color pop unexpectedly. Try both on for size!

Accentuate your quite natural bright red locks with the trendiest haircut for girls on the block. Complement the color right with a chic long bob … and add some beachy waves while you’re at it. Then, fluff the style, spritz it with hairspray and be on your way.

Bonus: How to Get Bright Red Hair

How To Get Bright Red Hair

@leysahairandmakeup

The first thing you have to start from is weighing all the pros and cons of getting bright red hair. Yes, you will be marvelous, you will hear a ton of compliments every day and have perfect Instagram photos. However, if your natural color is far away from the light blonde, you will have to bleach it. Are you ready for that? Then, read on.

The best way to get bright red hair if your base is brown is to use the hair dye and determiner. You won`t have to bleach hair before dyeing it red, these two processes can be carried out simultaneously! Instructions how to become bright read without pre-bleaching:

  1. First, choose the right shade of red. If your skin is pale, take some bright or light dyes. Deep auburn and chestnut shades go well with dark skin tones, medium skin tones need copper or medium auburn hair colors. Buy a multi-level lift hair dye.
  2. Decide which type of developer you need – 10, 20, 30 or 40 volume. For very dark hair you will need 40 Volume developer, for light shades – 10 with little lift, or 20 Volume that lifts 1-2 levels only.
  3. Prepare a mixing bowl, an applicator brush, measuring cup, gloves, a wide toothed comb.
  4. Combine your hair dye and developer (according to instructions, mostly it is 2-2.4 fl. oz. of developer per 1 tube of hair dye).
  5. Clip your locks into sections, leave the bottom section down.
  6. Start applying hair dye from the bottom section of your hair.
  7. Wait approximately 30 minutes (check directions), wash out the dye.
  8. Be sure to apply rinse-off conditioner.

Important note: better wait several weeks if you have recently dyed your hair dark, as you may get red roots only. Also, one thing you will reveal after getting bright red hair color is that it fades quickly. Sad news, but it is so, red hair is really hard to keep up with. You will need to treat your locks even more, deep condition them and desirably visit your hair colorist regularly to check their state.
