You’ve probably seen fun hair tutorials that teach you how to shape your locks into hair bows. Well, it seems the bow craze is still on because many hair gurus keep sharing their tips and tricks for bow-tiful hair glam!
The lifestyle blogger and content creator, @pizza4alice, dishes on her secrets for a fail-proof hairstyle. In one of her most-viewed and shared hair tutorials, the blogger teaches how to create small bows out of your own hair strands. This hairstyle is giving Kawaii aesthetics vibes, so get ready for cuteness overload!
Start out by creating a clean and precise middle part with a tail comb and tying your hair into two low ponytails. Clear elastics work best for this purpose, but you can always grab your favorite scrunchies if you have thick and heavy locks. To ensure a sleek finish and tame the flyaways, use a hairspray of your choice or opt for a hair gel.
Take a small chunk of your ponytail and tie it with another elastic by sliding it down a bit. The lower you move your hair tie, the bigger your hair bow will be at the end. Next, flip this mini ponytail through the opening to create a topsy tail.
The trick is to flip the hair over from behind, so you need to move the ends outwards. Repeat the process on the other side of your head. If you feel like two bows are not enough for your hair glam, you can always add more topsy tails – the base of your future hair bows.
Once you get a small loop out of the hair strand, bring the rest of your ponytail through the opening as if you’re pulling the thread into the needle eye. Now comes the fun part. Without moving the hair tie, just push your hair loop all the way up to the head and fan it out to make the hair strand look like a bow. Take a couple of bobby pins and secure your hair bow at the back. For more texture and fullness, fluff up the bows by gently pulling at the edge of the strand.
Add some baby braids around your hair bow and tie them with cute little ribbons. For a more festive look, decorate your braids with hair jewelry like rings and clips. And don’t forget about tinsel hair extensions that made a dazzling comeback this summer. Just weave these sparkly strands into your mini braids and get ready to glow!
Say goodbye to simple ponytails and welcome your bow ponies instead! Cutie pie vibes guaranteed.
