He then asks whether the girl wears glasses all the time to decide what kind of layers will be the most flattering.
The shortest layer starts just below the client’s chin – to look good both with the glasses on and without them – and then subtly blends into the longer layers to achieve a face-framing look. The trick makes the hair look lighter without actually taking the weight out.
The model confesses she hasn’t had her hair cut for more than a year, and by that point, it grew so long that only brought discomfort. It became too hot and heavy to wear.
