We know it’s sometimes difficult to resist the temptation of high-heat blow-drying and take your time with a diffuser instead. Especially, when you’re in a rush and need your hair dry faster. But here’s the problem. When you start diffusing your hair on high heat, your locks get all fluffy and frizzy. So, don’t jump into high heat to speed up the process.
Pro Tip: Start hair diffusing on low heat for the first few minutes. Low heat plus high speed is a perfect combo! Also, if you feel like a high-speed airflow is blowing your hair around, turn it down.
Pixie diffusing is a viral hair-drying method when you use a diffuser attachment to scrunch and hold each section of your curls until they dry. Keep in mind that this technique takes longer than other drying techniques. And even if you’re ready to put in some effort, it doesn’t mean you should go for pixie diffusing right away. Starting from a pixie diffusing may disrupt the cast and lead to frizzy hair.
Pro Tip: Start off by hover diffusing (holding a hair dryer away from the hair and then hovering it around the head) to create a cast and avoid frizz.
If you’re in a time crunch, there’s a great chance you’ll be rough on your hair. Don’t do that. It’s always better to save some time for proper hair diffusing than trying to fix your frizzy locks afterward. You should avoid unorganized movements when you diffuse your curls. Moving randomly from one section to another will not make your hair dry faster but only disrupt your curl pattern and cause a tangled mess.
Pro Tip: Diffuse small sections at a time to dry your hair faster and avoid frizzy curls. It’ll give your locks definition and great volume.
