Wedding preparation is always a rush, especially for the bride. Picking up the dream dress, finding the perfect shoes, and choosing the glam are among dozens of things on the checklist. So, it may often occur that a wife-to-be has only a couple of days before the big day to refresh her locks.
The hairstylist @hairbysuzi knows the feeling. “My new client here is getting married in two days,” she shares on her Instagram reel, showing how she manages to cover grown-out roots and achieve an expensive blonde look. Ideally, fixing color banding like this requires multiple appointments. But when every minute counts, it’s time for Plan B (where ‘B’ stands for the Bride). Five hours later – the bride’s hair is glowing and ready to steal the stage!
The hair pro admits she’s dealing with some serious roots since the grown-out area stretches to mid-lengths. The colorist comes up with an idea to blend the harsh line in both directions by adding a lightener (blue bleaching powder for a better lift) through the roots and scattering a darker color through the mids.
The trick is to blend the virgin roots to match the already white-blonde ends. The fine weaving technique helps achieve blended brightness into the roots, but it also takes time and effort. The finer weaves at the front are particularly challenging, but the result is worth it!
“Many clients are scared of having lowlights because they think their hair will look darker – but it makes the blonder pieces pop more,” the hairstylist explains. She uses a demi-permanent cream color in medium blonde for the lowlights that help her break up the harsh line and enhance the lighter hair tones. By playing with different shades of blonde, the hair professional adds dimension and movement to the locks for the alluring color depth.
The hair color transformation makes the locks look regal and effortless. The creamy texture of the lighter strands works well with darker highlights, adding natural brightness and creating a clean look. The result is so charming and awe-inspiring that the comment section is full of compliments.
“Going to a new hairdresser when you get married in two days is risky business but you did AMAZING,” one person comments. “You saved her wedding day hair with that transformation,” another fan chimes in. The bride herself joins the accolade, thanking the hairstylist for her work, “I can’t explain how happy I am with my hair. You’re so passionate about your work and it truly shows.”
Stories like this prove that the right hair color is a key to the head-turning glam on any occasion. So, celebrate your locks with the ultimate color boost and a favorite hairstyle to be in the spotlight!
