Besides, if you curl your hair first or even just give it a slight bend, it will make your work easier. #4 Loosely wrap the twist around the base and secure it with a few bobby pins. Repeat on the remaining two ponytails. #5 Here’s the time to personalize your bun. Fluff it, pull out some strands, and use a few bobby pins to join those three pieces together. Gently pull the top and side areas to make sure you cover any gaps and lines. This would also add some texture. Pro tip: When it comes to curling the face-framing area, use your hair tongs or a wand on a low heat setting, and don’t hold them too long. This way you will get soft, flattering waves and that’s what most of us want. Those who don’t have a fringe or any layers at the front can leave a few baby hairs in the temple area. You can even cut some strands like the author of this video does. This fancy high bun hairstyle is suitable for any level of experience in styling and can be created in no more than 30 minutes, including prep. So, if you are considering putting your hair up for a special night, this is one of the easiest updos to make. Also, you can use the same technique to create a low bun.
