Try more, see better, decide faster.
Tried a hairstyle try-on and still couldn’t decide? You may have liked the cut, but hesitated about the color, or you loved the shape, but wished you could see it from the side. This moment of doubt is where many ideas lose momentum.
The latest HairHunt update clears both roadblocks in one sweep. You can now generate a hairstyle in a range of shades with one tap and watch your haircut come to life in a 360° video. Keep reading to see what else is on the way.
You asked for more colors, and we listened. Following up on our promise, we are introducing a huge new color selection and the ability to edit the color of your generated image directly. This update has nine color families: cool natural, warm natural, violet, ash, gold/warm beige, chocolate, copper, red, and vivid. Each color group comes with nine hues. One tap now replaces a long chain of choices and progress bars.
Picking a hair color is rarely a one-and-done decision. Maybe you’re torn between a soft beige blonde and a brighter golden shade, or debating a muted brunette versus something deeper and richer. Each option looks promising on its own, but the differences can be subtle enough to keep you wavering.
Testing shades one at a time slows the process down and quickly eats your credits. Before you know it, you’re stuck in classic decision paralysis – plenty of options, but no straight answer.
After your new look is generated, open it in the Gallery, and tap the Change Hair Color button underneath it. You’ll see a curated list of color groups, from cool neutrals to vivids. Select one set of hair shades, and the app generates nine previews, all applied to the same hairstyle and image.
Testing shades one at a time slows the process down and quickly eats your credits. The full set is just two credits, which instantly gets you a wider range of choices.
Color groups are built around the shades that usually compete with each other in real-life decisions. Seeing all nine options side by side speeds up the process and sharpens your eye. Undertones become more noticeable, and you quickly spot what flatters your skin and what falls short.
The format also invites a bit of curiosity. You may end up considering a tone you would normally skip, simply because it is right there in front of you.
Color accuracy depends on good lighting, so taking your selfie in natural daylight, without harsh shadows, gives you a good start.
Natural colors that are easy to achieve with your current base color are the obvious, safe choice. If you’re up for a little more rigorous upkeep, try lighter or brighter shades.
Keeping the same hairstyle for each comparison allows you to focus on the color, not the changes in shape.
An inspo photo you see on Pinterest can make your heart beat faster. But seeing yourself with a new haircut, moving your head as in real life, can tip the scales and turn inspiration into action.
Our users loved the hairstyle try-on results, but one request kept coming up. They wanted more than a front-facing snapshot. They wanted to see:
The 360° try on creates a rotating, multi angle view based on the chosen look. Instead of relying on a single still image, you get a more realistic perspective. You can check your new hairstyle from different sides and get a better feel of the shape and structure. Already a favorite on our web platform, this 360° try-on is now live on the HairHunt app, too!
This feature brings you closer to reality. It’s especially useful for:
Gearing up for a bigger change? This update speaks directly to you. First-time short-hair clients get a much clearer sense of what to expect. A new option that gives you more control over how you use your credits is on the way. Soon, you’ll be able to generate single try-on results just by watching an ad. It’s perfect for quick checks when you want to test one idea or fine-tune your choice.
The updates our team is rolling out make experimenting with your hairstyle more holistic. You can compare multiple colors at a time or check how a haircut looks from every angle.
