Styling bangs is always a blessing and a curse. Especially when you need to make them stay in place all day. Now that you’ve finally got your dream bangs, you’ve got to figure out how to make them frame your face as if you went straight out of the hairdresser’s chair. We found a helpful hair styling hack to get that perfect face-framing look.
Lifestyle blogger and content creator Parmida Robateau shares her life-saving trick to keep her curtain bangs from falling flat and sticking to her face. And that’s exactly what you need for a bombshell look. No more flat bangs!
Every hair fan knows that styling products are the main players in every hair game. Without them, you can forget about long-lasting blowouts or salon-worthy bangs. So, before you start fixing your bangs, make sure you use the right products. The blogger opts for a heat styling spray for heat protection and stronger hold.
Gel or pomade might also come in handy if you want your face-framing look to last. Just apply some product at the crease to achieve flipped ends that look effortless and put-together at the same time. This trick will make your hairstyle last until the next hair wash day.
Once you’ve prepped your hair for styling, grab one side of the fringe and place it the way you like it. In the video, the content creator shows her go-to style for achieving a fail-proof result. She folds her front hair stand almost in half to get a slight curve in the middle, just above the eyebrow.
Depending on the length of your front pieces, you may place the hair in the same manner or fold the tendril a bit lower, imitating the ear-length cut. Now, all you need to do is to make your front pieces hold that shape.
For the final step, take your straightener first. While holding your front section in the position you want it to stay, start clamping it with a straightener. By moving it over the hair, you apply heat to it, making your bangs remember the chosen shape.
Give special attention to the curve that divides your front pieces in half – it’ll give you a face-framing look at the end. If needed, repeat the process a couple of times and keep holding your hair until it cools and sets. That’s it! Your perfect face-framing bangs are ready!
