Spring/Summer 2023 season has all the chances to be remembered by drastic as well as short-lived hair color transformations. Kourtney Kardashian’s platinum blonde, which the model got in March, turned back into her iconic black-brown hue in May already. Jennifer Love Hewitt who went blonde in May and opted for an even brighter hue in July, farewelled the sunny shade the previous week, swapping it for a shade from an auburn brown palette. Now, there is a new nominee for the shortest hair color change – Emily Ratajkowski.
EmRata, who used to wear chocolate brunette locks for a long time, made a shocking appearance in mid-July, as she “gone red.” And, yes, we used to read it as “breaking bad” at that time.
The coppery red shade is definitely a great match for Emily’s pale skin, we should say. In particular, she was absolutely adorable wearing a natural-looking ginger hair with a faux freckles makeup. The warm undertones of the red hair color beautifully complemented her complexion, creating a harmonious and captivating look.
It seemed the color is here to stay, at least through the fall season when copper and red shades duly reign. But the model and the author of the NYT bestseller “My Body” decided to mind her own business and returned to her favorite brown shade, having been a readhead for just a bit longer than a month. The choice of “Baby, I’m back” as a music cover for the IG story speaks volumes.
Emily Ratajkowski’s new shade is classy medium brown, and – let’s face it – it brings out the model’s brown eyes really well. The colorist behind the transformation is Jenna Perry who shared a behind the scenes image on the IG story too.
While the new shade is back to basics for Emily, such a rapid change of style might inspire her to experiment with hair color more often.
